Custom Closet Design in Central Texas

I’m so excited to be featuring our most in demand product, custom walk-in closets, over the next month! During this post, I'll show you the process of choosing a closet organizing system, and design/layout planning, and then I will show you a client's finished dream custom closet.

Step 1: Brainstorm Your Needs

The most important step of this closet design is you knowing what you want from your finished product. I encourage you to take a notepad and walk through your closet and write down exactly what you need. Are you wanting shoe storage? Jewelry and accessory storage? Do you have a need for lots of hanging space or would you prefer more drawer space? Is a center island important to you or would you rather have open space in the middle? Do you have extra accessories like scarves, belts, and ties? If so, where would you like them to go and how would you like them to be stored? Does your closet hold other things like holiday items or linens? Write down every single thing that you want from you closet so that I have an idea of what to include in your design.

Step 2: Browse Our Walk-in Closet Section

All of the products that we offer are in our walk in closet area of our website. First, focus on your needs for hanging space, drawer space, and shelving space. Which set up catches your eye that will meet your needs? You can create a Pinterest page to share with me or screenshot the pictures. Anyway that you can communicate ideas that you love will help in your custom design. After you decide on storage area for clothing, focus on accessories. Look at different ideas for shoe racks, ironing boards, tie racks, accessory drawers, and benches that assist with getting dressed.

Step 3: Free Consultation & 3D Design

At Centex Custom Closets, we offer free consultations and measurement for all designs. I will personally come out to your home and measure to make sure that everything we order is custom fit to your needs. We will go over your exact needs and desires for your finished product and after measuring and planning, I will work on a 3-D design so that you will see exactly how your closet system will look in your space. Our 3-D design is absolutely what sets us apart from other companies! Clients love to see what their ideas are going to look like before they purchased the closet system. Adjustments can be made after the design per additional needs or pricing. Another benefit of using our 3-D design is knowing what your final product is going to cost with no surprises at installation time.

Step 4: Order

Once you have your 3-D design custom to your needs and budget, we will simply submit your order and discuss shipping and installation dates. During this time, if you decide that you want to add onto the design we can absolutely do that! Upon your order, we require half down for payment with the other half following complete installation. We do offer a financing option if that is something that you would be interested in as well.

Step 5: Installation

Installation for your walk-in closet is done on site so that adjustments can be made as needed. If you have demolition that needs to be done, that can be worked into your project needs and we can complete that for you as well. Once installation begins, and you see that you might need some adjustments in your design, we can accommodate that on site or make an additional order. Truly, the fun part is seeing everything come together and your 3-D design being built in your home!
